LONDON: Antonio Rudiger saved Chelsea's honor after blowing two personal goals to help The Blues record a 2-2 draw with Leicester City in the English Premier League.
Rudiger put Chelsea ahead when they opened the scoring in the 46th minute before Harvey Barnes equalized in the 54th minute.
Ben Chilwell then put Leicester ahead when he scored in the 64th minute.
Dramatic action at King Power Stadium ended with Rudiger's 71st minute equalizer which also made it the first goal to blow Chelsea's two goals since John Terry did so against Fulham in 2013.
Leicester, who remain third in the league, can still breathe a sigh of relief when they are eight points ahead of Chelsea.
The decision also saw Chelsea record just one win in their last five league games.
Disappointed by Chelsea's failure to bring a new player to the closed doors, The Blues manager Frank Lampard said today that his side have been 'underdog' in their slate to the Champions League next season. – AFP
