During it, Casado used thick words like “coup”, “batasuno”, “banana dictators”, “narcodictadura of Cuba and Venezuela” and a long etcetera.
Among other phrases, Casado said this: “You agree with active defenders of dictatorships whose humanitarian devastation is already apocalyptic. Agreement with those who hate Europeanism, the rule of law, the Constitution, individual freedom, private property and the market economy. Everything that has been built on the best period in the history of Europe and Spain. Pact with those who will lead us, sure, to a dramatic crisis in our Welfare State, with those who will impoverish us, with those who will turn unemployment around and leave a new generation of young Spaniards without a future ”.
While the leader of the PP pronounced these words, Pablo Iglesias, general secretary of one of those partners with whom Sánchez has agreed, made a gesture that a Twitter user caught in full and shared on her account.
It is a gesture with the right hand shaking the jacket flap, which this user and many others interpreted as a way to slip those comments. (You can see it in the video from minute 37:25).
A gesture that more than 65,000 people have already seen:
This is the gestural response indicated for the “mecagoento” policy of Abascal and his henchmen. All right @Pablo_Iglesias_ , as always at the height and against the “lowness” of the extreme right.
