The inspiration range of Pyrex (Indre)
Since 1970, the furnaces of the Pyrex factory in Châteauroux, employing 400 people, have been processing a sand-based mixture to continuously produce glass pieces resistant to high temperatures. 44 million pieces leave Châteauroux factories every year, including 300,000 for the Inspiration range, selected for the Great Made in France exhibition organized by L'Elysée on January 18 and 19.

Ecosun is a start-up created in 2016 specializing in innovative energy solutions. The project presented this Saturday, January 18 at the Elysée is a mobile solar power plant. This plant is one of the two flagship products of the company with its solar mobile home. “This is a trailer with 18 solar panels of 300 Watt each, or 5.4 kilowatts under standard conditions”, explains an engineer from Ecosun innovation. “There is also a battery allowing to store 10 kilowatts, the energy needed for about a day. The energy is therefore both used by the consumer in self-consumption, then the surplus is stored. The innovation lies in the mobility of our plant, which can have applications for the army or for mobile sites located in places where there is no access to electricity, and its autonomous side, because our product does not need to be connected to the electricity network “, he continues. The start-up was inspired by already existing German technology, of which it bought the patent in 2017. 12 people work at Ecosun.

The DT26 drone is a concentrate of “made in France” technology. It is designed and manufactured in Labège, near Toulouse, on the Delair site. 140 employees work for the brand, which started manufacturing drones in 2011. For Laurence Collet, director of press relations, “This show is an opportunity to highlight the capacity we have in France to compete with the best. The leaders today in the field of drones are Israeli and American. We would like to see a French champion emerge”.
Several versions of DT26 exist. The DT26X LiDAR model, released in February 2018, is equipped with a lidar sensor, which offers the possibility of establishing an accurate map of a relief hidden under vegetation. It is used by RTE (French electricity transmission network) to map its entire network. The Delair DT26 Surveillance model is used in defense and security. It was bought by the Nigerian army in November to fight terrorism in the region.
