The child got sick again. Don't you feel angry? In the winter, when the frost was cold, the child did not get sick, and in the spring, when the weather warmed, he was depressed, coughing and grasping at his sore ear?
What the warmer weather is like here
In the spring, every organism gets a little weak and drowsy. Due to the lack of sun and vitamins, we are all open to colds and viral attacks, both adults and children. It would be wiser to “spring in” in the spring, but now, deliberately, the body and soul are suddenly no longer in harmony with the “waves”.
You no longer want to wear a coat, a hat or a scarf. You want to take off heavier clothes, open windows. We often underestimate temperature changes and drafts. We warm up our jackets and this is the result.
To protect your child (and yourself), follow some good old tips:
Open only one box in the car. When both dad and mom open their windows, the draft suddenly opens. Usually everyone in the car is already warmed up and the child is even sweaty.
Keep only one window of the apartment open. The drafts best move the standing room air, which is why drafts are recommended for ventilation. But only briefly, just a few minutes, and it is better for the child to run in the yard at that time.
Take a closer look at what your child is dressing for. Cabbage training in the spring is particularly important because temperatures can change rapidly. If your child's sandbox is in the shade, you may even need a hat and a thin jacket, and if your child is out in the sun, you'll need to get them down to a T-shirt.
Learn to say goodbye to cool weather gradually. It is better to have a few gloves, scarves, hats of different thicknesses, so that when the weather warms up, you can eat thinner each time. Unfortunately, our moms are very keen to protect their child from the cold, and some little ones with woolen hats walk until June.
Try to harden the baby, get used to cold water, cooler air. It has been found that drafts tend to disadvantage children from very caring families, where the baby is nurtured as a greenhouse cucumber. However, doctors rarely see gypsies or children from rural areas suffering from temperature changes.
Do not allow your child to sweat heavily in the spring. The combination of “sweat + wind” can cause a lot of trouble.
Observe where in the yard your child likes to play. And drafts are formed between the houses. Sometimes the wind just pulls in during the inter-house period.
Avoid extreme temperature changes. It is not for nothing that United Arab Emirates confess that their national disease is a runny nose. Because the condominiums are equipped with air conditioners that maintain a temperature of 20ºC, and outdoors almost always exceed 30ºC.
What draft and temperature changes can do
Blowing wind or sudden changes in temperature can cause triple ailment.
Firstly. Viral illnesses or the onset of a dormant chronic infection may occur. It looks like a baby is welcome, but when warmed up, he runs into the drafts and starts to get sick.
Second. Neurological ailments. Sudden onset of peripheral nerve inflammation: face pain (due to facial nerve inflammation), side (due to intercostal nerve inflammation).
Thirdly. Muscle aches. Most often it blows those areas of the body that are open. So the most vulnerable is the neck. May inflate shoulders, waist. The child complains of difficulty turning his head, sore neck, back.
How to Heal
Blown areas can be treated with home remedies in the early days. The most popular are:
Semi-spirit compresses (vodka semi-diluted with water).
Rubbing with an extract of the root of the aster.
Rubbing with chestnut spirit extract. Chestnut fruits should be crushed and filled with alcohol. Rubbing this passage reduces pain.
Compressed cooked turnips porridge. Turnip porridge is similar to potato, it should be applied (still warm) to the sore spot and warmly bound.
Icing or cold compresses. We are used to heating aching muscles. Then the blood vessels dilate and the blood circulation in the pain area improves. The cold has the same effect, but the process takes a little longer: the blood vessels initially shrink from the cold, but then expand considerably.
Many muscle pain relievers are now available at pharmacies. Just read the instructions carefully to keep the grease gentle and suitable for children. Because some warming oils for children are too strong, they can cause an allergic skin reaction and redness.
Not all fault for spring
Sometimes muscle pain can be a prophet of a more serious illness, so if the pain persists for several days, the child can hardly move the painful area of the body, you should see a doctor. Not always just spring is to blame. Here are our hospitals
The girl in the pediatric ward is getting treatment for a pain in her neck. Both the doctors and the parents thought that the blows and colds were to blame. Only two years later, it became apparent that the girl had joint disease (when other joints started to ache). Another boy kept complaining of ear pain. Parents were dripping salmon because it seemed natural to them that the spring wind was blowing their ears. When the “ear infections” continued, the boy was investigated further. His jaw joints, which are very close to the ears, appeared to be damaged.
There may also be persistent pain in one muscle group or one joint due to an unhealthy spine, muscle, bone, or joint disease.
Sick or not?
Just as children differ from each other, so do their responses. A strong, hardened, resilient organism can withstand such a spring wind attack without consequences. It is more likely that a tired child, one who is weakened by illness or nervous tension, will suffer from insomnia.
Obese, low-mobility children who prefer to sit around the TV and computer rather than crying outdoors have been found to be harder to resist colds. Children with allergies can get cold more easily.
If your child sweats outdoors, then overwhelms you, you may feel that you may have a cold, you can make your child hot feet, hands, baths, steam baths, or vitamin C at home.
