Since the beginning of the month, Lego has offered a pack consisting of 960 bricks for € 84.99, making it possible to reproduce a 1965 Fiat 500F in miniature. Once assembled, the Italian city car measures 11 cm high, 11 cm wide and 24 cm long. The 1/1 scale model is all the more impressive since it consists of almost 190,000 bricks!
A titanic job
Like the Bugatti Chiron or others before it, the Fiat 500 of the 60s was reproduced life-size using Lego bricks glued to each other for more rigidity, in order to celebrate the launch of the new model in the “Creator Expert” range from the toy manufacturer. To make the city car on a human scale, it took 830 hours of work assisted by computer modeling and 189,032 pieces exactly. The total weight of the set once completed is 400 kg. And if some rare elements like the steering wheel are not in Lego bricks, the detail has been pushed to make the lights of the beautiful Italian functional by a set of integrated lights.
