Of the 43 Slovenians quarantined at the Epic Hotel in Postojna upon arrival from Spain, two are infected with the new coronavirus. Sandi Curk, commander of the regional headquarters of the Civil Protection for the Notranjska region, told STA today that 40 swabs were negative, one of which will have to be repeated, which they will do today.
Of the 43 Slovenians quarantined at the Epic Hotel in Postojna upon arrival from Spain, two are infected with the new coronavirus.
“Considering that a strict quarantine has been imposed on all persons, that they have virtually no contact with anyone, they are contacted only by healthcare professionals, there is no risk of the infection spreading to the local environment,” he said Curk.
They stay in rooms, food and all other hygiene items are left in bags outside the door.
“We immediately informed the Mayor of Postojna of the findings Igor Marentič. There is no risk of the virus spreading within the quarantine, as returnees from Spain remain in their rooms and have no contact with each other, “ said Curk.
Currently, none of those infected need to be hospitalized. But all 43 will be retested in just under two weeks before the quarantine expires.
