André Ventura slammed the door. The Chega leader filed for resignation this Saturday after being challenged internally. Elections scheduled for September to clarify the party's situation.
Information is being advanced by the newspaper “Observador”, which, citing a party source, explains that the drop of water came with Ventura's decision to abstain from voting on the presidential decree for the renewal of the state of emergency.
This is not the first time that news has emerged about the internal tension in the party. In March, the magazine revealed an exchange of internal messages in which André Ventura threatened to resign before the summer if the weather continued.
On April 1, the leader of Chega / Porto resigned after losing the political confidence of the local structure.
