Audi has begun receiving orders for the new Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSIe Quattro, a premium hybrid station wagon introduced last year, with sales across Europe beginning in the coming weeks and months.
The hybrid powertrain that powers this elegant sports wagon is already built into the sedan version of the Audi A6. It offers intelligent drive control with a predictive operational strategy for high electric range, low power consumption and dynamic driving characteristics. The powertrain consists of a 2.0 TFSI petrol SUS engine (185 kW / 252 hp, 370 Nm torque) and an electric motor (105 kW, 350 Nm torque), with a total system power of 270 kW (367 hp) and a maximum torque of 500 Nm which is available at 1,250 rpm. It takes only 5.7 seconds to reach 100 km / h, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h, however, the speedometer stops at 135 km / h when the car is driven in purely electric mode.
The 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery is positioned in the back and allows up to 51 km of clean electricity (VLTP) driving, which favorably affects the combined fuel consumption, which, depending on the tire / rim combination chosen, ranges between 1.9 and 2.1 liters per 100 km, while electricity consumption ranges from 17.6 to 18.1 kWh per 100 km and combined CO emissions2 they range from 44 to 48 g / m.
As with other models from this German manufacturer powered by plug-in hybrid technology, the drive concept of the new A6 Avant is designed so that owners can do most of their daily work on electricity alone. The driver has the choice of three modes: EV for purely electric propulsion, hybrid mode and hold mode, which stores the amount of electricity currently available. Charging and preconditioning can be controlled using the myAudi application. It charges on a standard home connection within six hours, and at a public charging station of 11 kW for two and a half hours.
The Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSIe Quattro will be fitted as standard, which includes a virtual cockpit, LED lights, sports seats and a sports platform, 19-inch wheels… In Germany, the base price of this car is 71,350 euros.
