Captains and their deputies went to a meeting with the Barcelona leaders, and they reportedly agreed some details and indicated that a compromise might even be negotiated. However, players are reluctant to accept reduced wages, while it is not acceptable for management to offer them a counterargument, so negotiations are expected to continue in the coming days.
Representatives of men's and women's football, basketball, handball and other teams working with the Barcelona coat of arms were interviewed. However, the main item in the budget of the whole club are the biggest football stars, who spend about half a billion euros a year on salaries.
The management of the Catalan club could eventually act like the Croatian Dinamo, and implement the decision to reduce salaries, however many players are against it. Due to the virus coronary pandemic, competition in the Primera as well as in the Champions League has been suspended. Due to the current situation, Barcelona has closed the stadium and training center, and the players are training according to a special plan at home.
