Hit, you! Yes, you, I'm talking to you. To you who are tired of being alone anymore. Which exhausted you from this hidden treasure hunt. Many times you have been given the opportunity to play with wounded hearts to heal your own, but you have refused. To you who have reconciled with this little shout who shouted “No!” every time a new ephemeral story knocked on your door, you learned to keep a piece of yourself as a pupil in order to give it to a single person instead of borrowing it right and left.
I'm talking to you. To those of you who have spent the night with your dignity, self-denial and conscience pure. You would rather sleep with your empty pillow than share it with seasonal hugs. To you who have learned to respect yourself and all that you deserve and prefer to live with your loneliness rather than transplanting its roots into any new beginning.
You who thirst to match your body, your soul and your life with one another. Where would you give that you have and don't have in order to finally get rid of this lonely Calvary.
Those of you who refused to engage in endless adventures, thus prolonging your misery because you believed in “All or Nothing”, honoring it in every way. Where did you go to wait for the moment when your legs would tremble, your hands would sweat and your lips numb, no matter how much this lure of finally leaving your life and what it brought to your path was great. You who preferred not to compromise with anything less than you expect and to prepare yourself for something more.
You who spurned repulsions, bruised passions, and fought with your demons. You explored every corner of yourself and loved the slightest aspect of it. You burned your wounds with alcohol and you didn't forsake them with lifeless kisses. You watered your memories with forgetfulness, and you wrote down their mistakes and their consequences so that you could see them and not repeat them.
You who are awakened with your empty bottle and your cigarette waiting for that unique dawn that will change your life. You stayed waiting for this one day, the only one. The one for whom you have longed and prepared for life night and day all these years.
So you, yes. Don't bend now. Don't go back. Do not despair because in this life there is an officer truth. A truth that is fundamental, fundamental, and independent of the perception and experience of every human being.
In this life, all the beautiful, all the simple, all the longing for things, come when you stop looking for them. On the day that you have detached yourself, your mood and your whole psyche from it. Right now, you just won't wait.
