In search of a central defender for the future, AC Milan targets in particular the Marseillais Boubacar Kamara whom it hopes to obtain a reduced price by taking advantage of OM's financial difficulties.
Kamara is one of the tracks studied by AC Milan.
On Wednesday, UEFA announced that due to the current financial difficulties of European clubs, it is suspending financial fair play for next season.
Guilty of failures prior to this decision, Olympique de Marseille is however not sure that it will be able to benefit from this stay. And even if this is the case, the phocen club will still have to sell next summer in good faith.
Milan hopes for discount price
Many clubs are aware of this situation and some are obviously trying to take advantage of it, like AC Milan. This Friday, Calciomercato revealed as well as the Rossoneri, the search for a central defender both promising and able to assert themselves immediately, checked the name of the versatile Boubacar Kamara (20 years old). Able to evolve into a central hinge like a notch higher, the youngster visibly represents a plan B behind the Norwegian Kristoffer Ajer (Celtic), priority of the Lombard club in this position. But we especially remember that Kamara, once deemed too expensive, has returned to the radar of Milan because the leaders believe that they could take advantage of the financial concerns of the Phocen club to negotiate its price down, the same source said.
Hard to convince Kamara
It is true that the Marseillais is part, with Morgan Sanson, Florian Thauvin or Duje Caleta-Car, of the players who could be sacrificed in order to bail out the boxes. OM will he agree to sell off his young talent, as Milan hopes? Recently, France Football claimed that the current 2nd in Ligue 1 intends to claim about 50 million euros for Kamara while hoping to collect 35 M €. This is a tariff which has certainly been lowered but which is nonetheless important.
For its part, will the international French Espoirs be attracted by Milanese interest? In view of the still very disappointing season of the Lombard club, only 7th in Serie A after 26 days and therefore absolutely not sure to play Europe next season, nothing is less certain. Especially since it is rumored that the boy, who has just bought a house in Provence, and whose partner is expecting a child, has no desire to leave. What seriously thwart the plans of Milan!
