Naver announced on the 20th that it will expand Naver TV's right to live to help non-face-to-face meetings of users who are reluctant to engage in outdoor activities due to the spread of new coronavirus infection (Corona19). Lower the live entitlement criteria from 1000 to 300 subscribers.
In the meantime, Naver TV was able to gain live permission only by securing more than 1000 subscribers.
On the 23rd, Naver announced on the day that it will support more users to meet through the online platform by lowering the live permission standard for all channels of Naver TV from subscribers '1000' to '300'.
Through this application, about 4000 channels will receive new live rights.
On the other hand, Naver has been providing Naver TV live rights regardless of the number of subscribers to corporations and organizations whose purpose of gathering, such as academy, lecture, and religion, has been clear since the 18th.
Corporations and organizations that wish to receive live permission can apply with necessary documents such as a copy of the business registration certificate for authentication.
Naver TV has already granted live permission on the 18th to the currently active religious channel.
