The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs was a guest on the Estonian public television program, where the presenter wanted to give him unpleasant minutes with questions. In Tallinn, we have fulfilled our invitation to become Estonian public. It's worth it, sometimes you have to put your mind in order – Péter Szijjártó wrote in his Facebook post, which is already suggestive of the direction the conversation took.
– Do I understand that China, Turkey and Russia are seen as role models instead of Western countries? The Estonian TV reporter asked.
– No, you understand it very badly. You understand it very badly, and I have to reject it, it's starting to get too much. You know, we Hungarians are proud to have fought for our freedom for a long time. Which unfortunately left us alone. Have you heard of our 1956 revolution? You may have heard that we have fought for our freedom, or perhaps we have heard that unfortunately we have only been freed from communism for 30 years. He may also have heard of the fact that the current Prime Minister was the first in Hungary to be brave enough to state openly that Soviet soldiers should leave Hungary. It was he who founded the anti-communist party in Hungary, which now rules by the people. Please do not underestimate the Hungarian people and do not question their decision-making ability. We have won three consecutive elections: 2010, 2014 and 2018. In all three cases by a two-thirds majority. We received 14 percent more votes in the last election than we did in the previous election, with a record turnout. The Hungarian people are freedom fighters. Never, ever, would they vote for a party – especially three times in a row, by such a large majority – that would violate their rights, said Foreign Minister Szijjártó for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs.
