Special Representative: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given six directives including general leave declaration across the country to prevent coronavirus infection.
Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam gave Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's six directives in the conference room at the Secretariat on Monday afternoon.
The instructions are:
১. There is a general holiday on March 25. Then there is a public holiday on March 25 and 25. The government has declared a public holiday for the next five days from March 25 to April 2. In addition, the weekly holidays on April 7 and 8 will coincide with normal holidays. That is, from March 25 to April 1, all public and private organizations will be on vacation. However, these will not be applicable for emergency services including raw materials, food, medicine, shops and hospitals. The government decided to expand the coronavirus. For this reason, the public is urged not to come out of the house without any urgent need (food, medicine and medical treatment etc.).
2. At this time, if any office or court has to do the necessary work, they have to perform it online. Only those who feel the need during the government office period will keep the office open.
৩. Public transport will be limited. The public is advised to avoid public transport as much as possible. People who use public transport in an emergency need to use public transport without taking adequate measures to prevent coronavirus infection. Drivers and assistants must take adequate precautions, including wearing gloves and masks.
৪. Considering the needs of the people, Bangladesh Bank will give necessary instructions for the continuation of banking system at limited time during the holidays.
৫. From March 25, the armed forces will be deployed with the assistance of the district administration to ensure social distance and take precautionary measures in the divisional and district cities. The six district magistrates of the country will make a request to the district commander of the armed forces as per the need of their own district.
৬. If a person is unable to live a normal life due to coronavirus, then they will have the opportunity to return to their hometown and increase their income through the program of return home. District administrators will provide necessary assistance in this regard.
৭. The government has taken measures to provide accommodation and livelihood to one lakh people in Bhasanchar. At this time, if a poor person wants to go to Vasanchar, they can go. District administrators will provide necessary assistance in this regard.
৮. Due to the implementation of coronavirus programs, directives have been provided to the district administrators to provide food and financial support to the poor people to solve the problems of income generation. This assistance will be provided in coordination with the Disaster Management Ministry.
৯. Under the direction of the Prime Minister, the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) will prepare and prepare a list of 5 doctors for the treatment of coronary patients.
১০. All social, political and religious gatherings have been declared completely banned. Particularly for those who suffer from a fever of illness, cough has been repeatedly banned from going to the mosque.
