In the world of Android smartphones, solutions related to pop-up webcam have become increasingly popular lately. The point here is that the webcam is actually housed in the case of a smartphone and is only shown through a special mechanism when we actually need it. This solution is currently best suited, at least until smartphone makers have offered for sale a screen where the webcam will be directly below it, which of course will be visible to the user. Nevertheless, it will offer all the features of a classic webcam, including selfie capture.
However, as web cam technology is still under development, it is unlikely to be done in the next year or even in the next two years. This is also why Samsung has decided to soon launch the first Galaxy family smartphone to feature a pop-up webcam. This is likely to be a Galaxy A phone, which means it should be affordable.
At present, little is known about the new Samsung Galaxy A smartphone with a pop-up camera. As it seems, the novelty will still have a fingerprint scanner and most likely will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The novelty will also come with USB-C and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. However, a 16.5-inch or 6.5-inch screen is available to display the images, and even an IR interface for managing home electronic devices is available. More information on Samsung's highly interesting smartphone is expected to be available shortly.
