Anterselva (Italy) – The Biathlon World Championship in Anterselva continues today with a men's sprint for ten kilometers. The Czech quartet Michal Krčmář, Ondřej Moravec, Jakub Štvrtecký, Adam Václavík will try to follow the bronze mixed relay and Lucie Charvátová also in sprint.
The highest of the Czechs is in the standings of the discipline in SP Krčmář, which won unexpected Olympic silver on the shortest track in Pyongyang last year. Krčmář will start the race second, Moravec has number 27, Štvrtecký 73 and Václavík 103. He did not get to Michal Šlesingr, the second in sprint at the World Championship 2007 in Anterselva.
The biggest favorites for the gold are Norwegian defender Johannes Thingnes Bö and the leading man of the SP Frenchman Martin Fourcade, who won two of his 11 World Championship titles in the sprint. The race will start at 14:45.
