At the trial of the house of journalist Milan Jovanovic, Aleksandar Marinkovic did not appear again, accused of throwing Molotov's cocktail at the house. His defense lawyer said he could not find him and had been searching for him for days. The judge issued a warrant for him and ordered that he be remanded in custody as soon as he was found.
Since he is not appearing for the second time at trial, the judge has separated his case, and separate proceedings will be instituted against Marinkovic in relation to former Grocka Mayor Dragoljub Simonovic and other indictees.
Simonovic presents his defense. Until the break, he made a number of inappropriate insults and calls at the expense of the injured journalist, called him a “person with psychological problems”, “illiterate”, said that he was a “frustrated girl with no influence” and that he was “no journalist”, and that the trademark info is not a media portal.
He said to himself that he also wrote for professional journals, so he is not considered a journalist. He also said that he was a public figure and that “some schmuck can't be the mayor”, and that his honor and honesty is testified by the fact that more and more citizens vote for him and the SNS party.
Simonovic is accused of ordering the burning of journalist Jovanovic's house.
The Accused Simonović also repeatedly called the Prosecutor.
Namely, by telling him how he was looking at him, whether he was laughing, by making him complain about the case as if he were the defense lawyer for journalist Jovanovic, not the prosecutor. he also noted that after this process, “it may happen to the prosecutor not to be at all anymore and not to work as a public prosecutor.”
For his relationship with Vladimir Mihailovic, who is accused of hiring people and organizing the burning of the house at the behest of Simonovic, the former Grocka mayor says he agreed to an offer from Mihailovic in an interview with him, who offered to “talk to those in the trademark infa “who write poorly about the municipality and Simonovic, since Mihailovic told him that he knew them before.
Simonovic admitted that he promised Mihailovic that he would try to promote his wife, who works in the municipality and who is the godfather of his daughter, because, as he said, he believes that she is a hardworking and successful worker.
However, Simonovic denies that he asked Mihailovic to set Jovanovic on fire. He says that Mihailovic does not trust him so much, and that, on the other hand, he has no reason to threaten Jovanovic.
Simonovic asked the judge: “Do I look like a fool to you to ask something like that from a man I don't trust completely”.
Most of Simonovic's one-hour talk was about media calls.
He also talked about how he was exposed to the media lynch and how Stamp Info works on the racketeering principle – whoever pays them will write nice about him.
The judge repeatedly reminded Simonovic that he was not interested in his opinion on the media, but that he was trying to establish his guilt. However, Simonovic and his defense counsel insist that he make his defense statement complete.
The trial resumed after the break.
