Vivaro-e is Opel's first electric commercial vehicle and is ready to land on the market at this very particular moment, in which the delivery of zero-emission goods and services it is becoming strictly necessary for different areas.
The vehicle was built in three different lengths and with many body variants and allows professionals to benefit from zero-emission door-to-door mobility without compromise. Opel Vivaro-e is a LCV (light commercial vehicle) perfectly functional for the high demands of companies and their work processes. Order bookings will open next summer, the first deliveries will arrive at the end of the year. Opel Vivaro-e is produced in the same factory and on the same line versions with diesel engines.
Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller said, “How first fully electric light commercial vehicle to enter the Van-D market segment of medium-sized vans and with an autonomy of up to 330 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, the new Opel Vivaro-e sets the standards for the ease of use, reliability and professionalism “.
Opel Vivaro-e is as versatile and flexible as any other Vivaro, its range is comparable to that of similar light commercial vehicles with internal combustion engines and is the only electrified vehicle in the segment of an automotive manufacturer that can be equipped with a tow hitch with a maximum trailer capacity of 1,000 kg. Customers can choose between two sizes of lithium ion battery, from 75kWh and 330 km of autonomy or from 50kWh and a range of action up to 230 km. The efficiency of the vehicle is also improved thanks to the sophisticated regenerative braking system, which recovers the energy produced during braking or deceleration.
The electric propulsion system offers 136 horsepower and 260 Nm of torqueOpel Vivaro-e offers better performance than most electric commercial vehicles. The electronically controlled maximum speed of 130 km / h allows an easily controllable and safe speed on the highway while preserving electric autonomy. The battery is located under the load compartment and lowers the center of gravity, resulting in stability when cornering.
Opel Vivaro-e continues the attack strategy in the Opel electrification sector, but also Vivaro's success story that began with the first generation in 2001. The new Opel electric commercial vehicle, after Vivaro, will be the Combo-e next year.
