The Android security update overview from week 14 – 2020
On Android Planet you read daily about updates for smartphones. This usually concerns devices that receive a version update, for example when they are updated to Android 9.0 (Pie) or Android 10. For this we have also created the Android 9.0 update overview and Android 10 update overview. In these articles you can see exactly if and when your device will be updated.
However, security updates are just as important. These patches keep out trouble like adware, malware and ransomware. Manufacturers roll out these updates all year round, after which we collect them in this weekly overview. Is your device in the list below, but you have not received anything yet? Do not panic. It usually takes a few days to weeks for all copies to be updated.
Samsung continued to roll out updates for many of its devices last week. Not only did we see Android 10 updates for different devices, but many security updates also rolled out.
