We will probably all agree that social networks have become a kind of substitute for real life. Users use social networks primarily to connect with friends and family and to read interesting news. However, as social networks are increasingly used by children, China's leading social networking site, TikTok, has decided to redesign its mobile application, and the new security option is, of course, primarily for parents.
The new option, called “family safety”, actually gives parents greater control and involves linking their parents' profiles with their teen's profile, as well as a remote monitoring feature. There's even a new way of filtering out spam and inappropriate messages. All parents have to do here is connect their profile with a QR code scanner to their child's profile, and all other security mechanisms are handled by artificial intelligence.
To use the new options, you must manually set a password, which should be updated regularly every 30 days. It should also be noted that the TikTok social network has raised the age limit for using their social network. This one is now set at 13 years old.
