Novosadski Typhoon Hill was named the startup of the year in Serbia at this year's local finals PowerUp! The challenge, organized by the company InnoEnergy. This startup has developed a universal operating system UEGOS, which enables the aggregation and control of all distributed energy resources and smart devices, while increasing their efficiency while reducing costs. The winning startup will represent our country in the international finals, where they will have the opportunity to win an award from 50,000 and an investment of 150,000 to several million euros.

During this year's local finale, held yesterday, through an online platform for the safety of all participants, Typhoon Hill was named the startup of the year by an expert jury they did Zoja Kukic, Program Director of Digital Serbia Initiative, Shimon Fiatkovski from InnoEnergy, Pavlo Krivokuća from the Impact Hub and Vladimir Trkulja, A Venture Fellow at the Unicef Innovation Fund.

Universal operating system UEGOS
UEGOS was created on the basis of Phyton and Linux systems and installed simply via USB or Cloud, on existing or new infrastructure. The technology behind UEGOS has already been tested, implemented and ready for use, meaning that the first steps in the development of this new device management system are long overdue and a significant number of tests have been completed. An interface is currently being developed that will be implementable in both office buildings and manufacturing plants, as well as in smart homes to optimize the efficiency and energy consumption of devices connected to this system.
For this year's PowerUp! The challenge across Central and Eastern Europe was 425 applications, including 362 startups, which is PowerUp! It is one of the largest programs for startups, scallops, SMEs in the areas of energy, clean technologies, mobility, cyber security, smart cities and clean air.
