Singer Wheesung (real name Choi Hwisung · 38) On the 2nd, police were dispatched after being put to bed while sleeping drugs in a bathroom in a shopping district in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. This happened two days after being investigated for similar acts in Songpa-gu on the 31st of last month.
According to the police on the 3rd, Wheesung was discovered on the 2nd of this month after administering a sleeping anesthetic drug in the bathroom of a shopping mall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. In the field, it was reported that bottles and syringes marked Etodate were found together.
Police reported that the drug Wheesung used was a type of sleeping anesthetic that was not designated as a drug, and returned home after the investigation.
Earlier, on the 31st of last month, a sleeping anesthetic was administered and collapsed in the bathroom of a building in Songpa-gu, where the police were taken home. He is also known to have been investigated by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency for drug administration.
The Songpa Police Department urgently arrested a man accused of supplying drugs to Wheesung for violating the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law. It was confirmed that this man was not a medical worker.
The agency's Real Slow Company said in an official entrance statement, “Wheesung is having a hard time dealing with his father's sudden smallness, the death of a friend he worked with, and the hardships he had experienced last year.”
He continued, “Wheesung was hospitalized because of symptoms such as extreme thoughts, depression, and panic disorder even after returning home.” He is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment and is faithfully responding to police investigations.
He said, “Whisung has great regret and apologize for the point of showing bad looks, regardless of the reason.” “I sincerely apologize to everyone who worried.”
On the other hand, etomidate, found in the field, is a sleep anesthetic called 'second propofol' and is said to be a white fluid injection in a colorless and transparent ampoule. It is known to be used mainly for general anesthesia similar to propofol when performing endoscopic or surgical procedures.
However, unlike the drug propofol, which is classified as a drug, this drug is designated as a specialty drug, so it is said that there are no penalties for buyers.
